Our winter athletics schedule is winding down, with several basketball games, indoor track and field state qualifiers and the state championship in Alpine skiing, scheduled.

Monday, Feb. 23
9:30 a.m.: NYSPHSAA Skiing Championships: Giant Slalom (Hudson Danzilo) at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort in Canandaigua.
Tuesday, Feb. 24
9:30 a.m.: NYSPHSAA Skiing Championships: Slalom (Hudson Danzilo) at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort in Canandaigua.
4 p.m.: Boys Modified Basketball vs. Eldred at Liberty Middle School
5 p.m.: Boys JV Basketball vs. Beacon City at Beacon High School
5:30 p.m.: Girls Modified Basketball vs. Eldred at Liberty Middle School
6:30 p.m.: Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Beacon City at Beacon High School
Wednesday, Feb. 25
No events scheduled.
Thursday, Feb. 26
5 p.m.: Boys JV Basketball vs. Sullivan West at Liberty High School
5 p.m.: Girls JV Basketball vs. Monticello at Monticello High School
6:30 p.m.: Boys JV Basketball vs. Sullivan West at Liberty High School
6:30 p.m.: Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Monticello at Monticello High School
Friday, Feb. 27
No events scheduled.
Saturday, Feb. 28
2 p.m.: Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Marlboro at Liberty High School, opening round Section 9 play offs.
6 p.m.: Boys and Girls Varsity Indoor Track and Field State Qualifier vs. multiple schools at Armory Track.
Results:
- Boys 4×200 relay of Joe Sarney, Dylan Romero, Colten Allen and Samuel Blandon took fourth place and set a school record.
- Boys 4×400 relay of Joe Sarney, Dylan Romero, Colten Allen and Alan Cruz took third overall also setting a school record
- Girls Sprint Medley Relay of Adriana Ponce Agredano, Audrey Krum, Quinn Santiago and Sheyla Anguisaca Llanos took sixth place overall
- Starriah Harris took eighth place overall in the 55m hurdles
- Sydania Foster set a school record and placed seventh overall in the 300m.
- Brooke Bull also set a school record and took first place in pole vault and will be going to states
- Also going to states is the girls 4×200 relay team of Victoria Henry, Starriah Harris, Brooke Bull, Sydania Foster, which set a school record and took first place. Alternates are Quinn Santiago and Audrey Krum.
