Emergency Service Youth Academy planned for July

Sullivan County Public Safety and the Sullivan County Youth Bureau will host a weeklong Emergency Services Youth Academy this summer.

Students age 14 to 16 are invited to an introduction to the various tools and techniques used in the field. Local police, emergency medical services and fire professionals will lead students in several activities including a tours of the fire training tower and emergency vehicles, JAWS Jenga, CPR and first aid certification, and a team-building search and rescue.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 22-26 at the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Center at 615 Old White Lake Turnpike in Swan Lake.
