Lead Testing

The Liberty Central School District conducts mandatory first-draw lead testing across all school drinking and cooking water outlets to comply with New York State Health Department regulations and ensure student safety. Initial testing identified several fixtures exceeding the state action level of 5 parts per billion, prompting the district to immediately remove those outlets from service for remediation. Following repairs and replacement, follow-up testing confirmed that all water sources were successfully brought to safe levels at or below 5 ppb.

Advanced Notification of Pesticides

To receive advance notification of pesticide applications at Liberty Central School District, parents, guardians, and staff can submit a written request to the district’s Business Office. Upon request, the district will provide 48-hour advance notice containing the specific date, location, EPA registration number, and a designated contact person for the scheduled pesticide use.

Asbestos Management Plan

The district maintains an asbestos management plan, which is available for review during regular business hours in each principal’s office and the district office.
