At Liberty High School, we continue to reflect and revise our procedures in order to offer a safe environment and a quality educational experience. Here are some points of clarification and reminders.
Attendance and Student Schedules
In order to hold students accountable and to report accountable attendance students must log into their Google Meets with their teacher or staff member for homeroom (8:05-8:15 a.m.) and for each class on their schedule until released by the teacher or staff member everyday. This includes Wednesdays.
Wednesday is a day for all students to learn virtually and for instructional support or lessons based on teacher discretion for the course and the material. All students must log into their Google Meets with their teacher or staff member for homeroom (8:05-8:15 a.m.) and for each class on their schedule until released by the teacher or staff member. The other purpose will be to provide students with Individualized Education Plans and Multilingual Learners the opportunity to receive in-person support and services.
Teachers will communicate with the expectation for each class on Wednesday and may include one or more of the following; new instruction (like each of the other days), asynchronous learning and support, and/or work completion/review/support.
Students must log on to their study halls for attendance and can receive help from the staff member. Once that has been completed, they may log off when released by the staff member. The staff member will be available for the student for assistance if they need it.
Chromebooks are required for all LHS students in order for us to offer equitable instructional technology, technical support, and accountability for learning and assessment.
