Two LHS students test positive for COVID-19

The district has learned that two Liberty High School students have tested positive for COVID-19:

  • An LHS student who attends school on an all-remote schedule but was last on campus April 14 has tested positive for COVID-19.
    Staff members and parents and guardians of students who may be at risk for exposure to COVID-19 have been individually notified by a building principal, administrator or school nurse. Contact tracers from Sullivan County Public Health Services also reach out to people at risk for contracting the coronavirus and advise them of what steps to take.
  • An LHS student who was last on campus April 15 has tested positive for COVID-19. Health officials say no contact tracing is required.

Our thoughts are with the individual who tested positive and we wish them a speedy recovery. Privacy laws restrict the disclosure of personally identifiable information of anyone who has tested positive for the coronavirus.
