Sullivan County BOCES officials notified the Liberty Central School District on May 8 that BOCES received a threat via voice mail to its schools and facilities.
BOCES officials immediately notified law enforcement and placed its facilities on “lock out” to ensure the safety of students and staff. A police investigation is currently underway, and BOCES programs are canceled for the remainder of the day.
- All full-day BOCES Liberty students were transported home from BOCES facilities at 10:40 a.m. Parents were notified by telephone.
- Morning Career and Tech students returned to the high school for their regular afternoon schedule.
- Afternoon Career and Tech students remained at the high school.
