Students participate in anti-bullying poster contest

The Village of Liberty Police Department and Liberty Police Benevolent Association recently honored the winners of the Liberty Elementary School’s building wide anti-bullying poster contest.

Congratulations to Patrick Atkins, Modest Vargas, Annamay Lopez, Jayden Mathurin, Maliea Agapito and Madilynn Maldonado.

While efforts to prevent bullying and promote kindness and inclusion, the poster contest is an annual happening that students look forward to. Posters are judged based on creativity, neatness and originality.

The winners received a sling bag filled with gifts, a certificate and will have their posters hung on display at the main entrance of the school.
