Girls Track and Field

In their first meet of the season, the Girls Varsity Track team beat Eldred but fell to Monticello. The team, consisting of only 7 girls, was able to score in each event they were in. Alyssa Kavleski was a dual winner against both teams in the 100-meter dash and triple jump. Katrina Blais scored in both 100 hurdles and the 800 meters and Jordan Raynor in shot and discus. Newcomers Zeimoni Dansby, Dianna Marty, and Rayanna Cottman also contributed to the scoring effort.

Boys Track and Field

In their first meet of the season, the Boys Varsity Track team defeated Eldred but fell to a talented Monticello team. The Indians team has only 8 members while Eldred had 14 and Monticello over 20! Gabe Desrochers placed second in the 400 and 800. Wayne Kratz was third in the 100 and 200 dashes. John Nolan had a personal best in the shot put placing second. Nate Desrochers took third in the discus. Jose Luna leaped to second place in the triple jump. Liberty’s 4×100 of Darian Jackson, Jose Luna, Wayne Kratz, and John Nolan took second. The Indians 4×400 team also placed second with Gabe Desrochers, Juan Romero, Jose Luna, and Wayne Kratz.
