Career day inspires middle school students

Students at Liberty Middle School got a glimpse into their possible futures earlier this month when the school hosted its very first Career Fair.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Justin Golden and Mrs. Niemann Murphy  as a way to expose students to various career pathways that they may be interested in and want to pursue.

Dozens of career fields were represented including medical, culinary, law enforcement, floral, dentistry, technology and radio news.

Students visited each profession’s booth and asked questions regarding job descriptions, salary, hours and level of education.

The school would like to extend its thanks to the professionals who volunteered their time as well as the Liberty Dunkin’ Donuts and Monticello Bagel Bakery for providing coffee and bagels.
