Liberty among “Best Communities for Music Education”

We are pleased to announce that the Liberty Central School District has been recognized by the National Association for Music Merchants as one of the  the “Best Communities for Music Education!”

In cooperation with researchers at The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas, the Best Communities for Music Education program evaluates schools and districts based on funding, staffing of highly-qualified teachers, commitment to standards, and access to music instruction.

“I want to thank our community, Board of Education, administration, faculty and superintendent for upholding our department mission that every child deserves a well rounded education,” said Timothy Hamblin, Liberty’s Director of Music.  “A successful program is not built overnight and we share this honor with all of those music teachers, administrators, board members, parents and community leaders from the past who understood the importance of music education.”
