Dr. Patrick Sullivan, the Liberty Central School District assistant superintendent, will take the helm on July 1, replacing Dr. Augustine Tornatore as District Superintendent.
The Board of Education appointed Dr. Sullivan to the superintendent post at its June 15, 2021 meeting.
Dr. Sullivan joined Liberty’s administrative team in 2016 as assistant director of student services. In 2018, he became assistant principal of the middle school, and in July 2019 was appointed assistant superintendent.
“I’m excited and honored to serve as Liberty’s superintendent, and I am looking forward to continued collaboration with the district’s talented and dedicated professionals,” said Dr. Sullivan. “I thank the Board of Education for this opportunity and for placing their trust in me.”
Dr. Sullivan earned his Doctor of Education degree from Manhattanville College. He earned his undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University; earned a Master of Science in Education from Long Island University, and a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration from Long Island University.
