This morning, a student at the BOCES campus in Ferndale was believed to be in possession of a firearm. Liberty students had not entered the building.

Upon investigation, the student was found not to be in possession of a firearm.

As a precaution, Liberty Central School District was briefly put into lockout, which means no one could enter or exit the buildings, as the incident was investigated.

There was no immediate threat to the LCSD community.
