Lady Indians raise $700 during Pink Out

Varstiy volleyball player blocks a shot.  On Wednesday, Oct. 4, our JV and Varsity girls’ volleyball players traded in their signature red and white for pink on pink at their annual Pink Out game and bake sale.

As with prior years, proceeds from Pink Out will go toward Ride2Survive of Sullivan County. Ride2Survive is a local association that raises funds to assist local residents who have been diagnosed with cancer pay for the cost of gas and tolls/parking while undergoing doctor’s visits and treatment.

Fans in the stands may have noticed that the Lady Indians were wearing tie-dyed warm up clothes. Although Pink Out started years ago as a way to support breast cancer awareness, the event has become more elaborate and now echoes one very important message: all cancers matter.
