Jan. 21-24 to become testing days for LHS

LMS, LES schedule unchanged

Because of an increase in the number of students participating in Regents exams in January, Jan. 21-24 will become testing days for high school students. High school students will only be required to attend school on the days they have tests scheduled.  CTE students are expected to attend their programs at Sullivan County BOCES. Middle and Elementary School schedules will remain as originally planned, with students attending all days.

Students needing to test will receive a notice from the Liberty High School guidance office and a letter home. Testing will begin at 8 a.m. and noon with the schedule as follows: (Schedule adjusted for Tuesday and Wednesdays delays. Changes noted with *)

  • Tuesday, Jan 21
    • 8 a.m.: 2-hour delay
    • Noon: Regents Earth Science
  • Wednesday, Jan. 22
    • 8 a.m.:  2-hour Delay
    • Noon: Regents Algebra I; Regents Geometry*
  • Thursday, Jan. 23
    • Closed
  • Friday, Jan. 24
    • 8 a.m.: Regents Global History & Geography II*; Regents Regents English Language Arts*; SUPA Bio
    • 10:30 a.m.: Regents: U.S. History*
    • Noon: Regents Algebra 2*; College Final: SUNY Sullivan US History (canceled)
  • Monday, Jan. 27 (normal class schedule resumes) 
    • 8 a.m.: Regents: Living Environment.

Busing will only be offered at the beginning and end of the school day. If a student wishes to leave after a morning test or arrive late for an afternoon test, they must provide their own transportation. The cafeteria will be a place for students to wait for their test, transportation or after-school activities. Lunch will be provided to students. Notes from parents or guardians will not be needed. To maintain a secure testing environment, once a student leaves the building, they will not be allowed to re-enter until school hours have concluded.

Personal electronic devices will be collected before admittance into exams as per NYS Education Department guidelines. They will be returned once students have completed their exam.

After school activities will take place as scheduled with minor changes to practice locations.
