Introducing Bee Badges

Beginning Dec. 4,  Liberty Elementary School is starting a new Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports  (PBIS) initiative. Students who exceed at following the four PBIS district-wide expectations will earn a Bee Badge:

  • Be Responsible
  • Be Respectful;
  • Be There, Be Ready; and
  • Follow Directions.

The Bee Badge is a sticker that lists the four expectations. The sticker serves as a signal to faculty and staff to ask the student how he or she earned the sticker. This will give the student the opportunity to brag about the good behavior that was observed.  At the end of the day, a student with a Bee Badge will be given an index card to stick their sticker to and bring home.

Parents, please look for these badges and be sure to ask your child how he or she earned it, and please put the badge somewhere (such as the  refrigerator or a bulletin board) so that your child can see it, remember the good behavior, and try again to earn a Bee Badge.The teachers and staff will be reporting how many Bee Badges they have given out.  When we get to the level of 700 stickers having been earned, we will have a school-wide celebration. Please encourage your child to earn a Bee Badge.  We hope that every student at Liberty Elementary School earns a Bee Badge!
