Dispose of old medicine safety in Liberty

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Liberty Central School District have partnered to help residents safely dispose of old medicine in your medicine cabinet.

The DEC’s Pharmaceutical Take-Back Program provides the general public a safe and convenient means of disposing of their unwanted medications in an environmentally responsible manner.  By doing so, we’re also taking proactive steps to combat the opioid epidemic that is plaguing many communities across the state.

To provide a free, safe, convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of expired and unwanted medications, a collection kiosk is located at the Liberty Police Department, K&K Pharmacy and the Medicine Shoppe.
