Dead mouse found in LHS cafeteria

At approximately 10:45 a.m., district officials received word that students and lunch monitors were taking photos of a dead mouse on the floor of the high school cafeteria to post on social media.

Later this afternoon, it came to our attention that the mouse had been there since the start of the school day, but was not disposed of until a member of the food services staff called a custodian to request assistance.

We apologize for the disturbance and the delay, but would like to use this as an opportunity to remind staff and students that if you see a mess that needs to be cleaned up, please contact a teacher or custodian immediately.

No additional mice have been found in the cafeteria or near the school’s food storage.
