The Westchester Institute for Human Development will offer two more virtual Parent Member Trainings this year.

Participants will learn about the Committee for Special Education process, and those eligible can join committee meetings as a volunteer parent member.

While this training is open to anyone who would like to learn more about special education, parents or guardians whose child has or had an IEP in the last five years, will receive a certificate for submission to their school district to serve as a parent member at CPSE/CSE meetings.

The four-hour trainings are offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an hour break for lunch.
