BUDGET PASSES | Voters approve 2021-22 budget, elected four to Board of Education

Voters in the Liberty Central School District have approved a $53,962,992 budget for the 2021-22 school year and elected four people to the LCSD Board of Education.

Voters approved the budget by a vote of 252 to 67.

District voters also approved the creation of a capital reserve fund, which may be used to pay the cost of capital improvements, building projects or repairs, with the amount of the fund not to exceed $10,000,000, raised by depositing unexpended fund balances remaining at the end of each school year. This propostion passed by a vote of 257 to  59.

In addition, voters elected four people to the Board of Education.

Maureen Crescitelli (258 votes); Pamela Teed Fisk (247 votes) and Peter  Racette (234 votes) were elected to serve three-year terms.

Maureen Stabak  (139 votes) will serve the remainder of an unexpired term effective May 18, 2021 to June 30, 2023
