Complete all those back-to-school forms with FamilyID

Liberty families can now complete many of the required school documents through FamilyID.

FamilyID offers an easy, one-spot way to sign items such as handbook agreements, media releases, and acceptable use policies. The Liberty Athletics Department has been successfully using FamilyID for several years.

Parents and guardians can  register via the FamilyID link, through which all three Liberty school buildings may be accessed. These links will take you directly to each building’s individual Family ID page:

Then follow these steps:

  1. Click the FamilyID link and select the registration form under “Programs.”
  2. Click the “Register Now” button and scroll to  “Create Account/Log In.”  (Click “Log In” if you already have an account.)
  3. Enter the account owner’s first and last names (parent/guardian), e-mail address and password.
  4. Select “I Agree” to the Terms of Service.
  5. Click “Create Account.”
  6. You’ll receive an email from Family ID. (Check spam and junk folders if you don’t see it).
  7. Click the link in the e-mail.
  8. Complete the information requested.
  9. Click “Continue.” 
  10. Review your registration and click “Submit.”
  11. You’ll receive a confirmation email from FamilyID.

Opening with Liberty Pride Guide | LCSD’s plan for the 2021-22 school year

The first day of school is almost here, and we are very excited to welcome everyone back to Liberty schools. The complete Opening with Liberty Pride Guide 2021-22 is available here, and here are some important highlights:

  • All students will attend school five days each week for in-person instruction
  • Masks will be required for all students while in Liberty schools and while on our school buses. Masks will not be required outdoors.
  • While in our buildings, physical distancing of 3 feet will be maintained.
  • Lunch may look a little different. The required physical distancing is 6 feet at lunch, and some students may have their meal in the cafeteria or another appropriate space. Your school building will share details as we get closer to the first day of school.
  • Families will not be asked to purchase Chromebook insurance. LCSD will cover that cost so students will always have a working device.
  • The Elementary School Supply Lists and the Middle School Supply Lists are on the district website!
  • Boys and Girls Club is back and begins Oct. 1. Families will pay a registration fee, but there will be no monthly fee during the 2021-22 school year! Watch for updates from the Boys and Girls Club.
  • ClassLink is coming to the district, enabling our staff and students to access all of their programs and apps with a single sign-on. Details will be shared soon.

Liberty introduces ClassLink | Students can access everything they need with one sign on

Liberty is now using ClassLink, a single sign-on platform that allows teachers and students to use one username and password to access everything they need, whether they’re in the classroom or at home.

Families can access ClassLink from their computer or with the ClassLink mobile app, which is available free on the Apple Store, Google Play, or QuickCard by ClassLink (for iPad users who use the QuickCard).

ClassLink can be accessed from computers and mobile devices and is a safe and secure way to ensure your child has access to everything needed for continued learning. ClassLink never collects or shares any personal student information. You can learn more about how privacy is protected here.

My account is locked. What do I do?

An account gets locked after too many failed login attempts. If this happens, alert your teacher and  verify your username and password.

I’m getting “Access Denied” or “Account not connected” when trying to sign in with Google. Why?

When clicking the Sign In With Google button in ClassLink, Google is signing in with an active Google account, a personal account that does not have access to ClassLink. Make sure to log out of Google. You may go to https://accounts.google.com/Logout to log out of Google. Then go back to your ClassLink login page to log back in. This time, you will be prompted to input your school-issued Google username and password.

I’m getting “HTTP error 400, Request Header is too long.” What do I do?

Clear your browser cookies and cache. Next close and reopen your browser and try logging back in.

My webcam isn’t loading. Why?

Most modern web browsers support WebRTC, which supports easy access to a webcam from web page scripts. However, Safari (on Mac) does not support WebRTC. Install the Google Chrome browser on your Mac.

What is the username and password for an app I clicked on?

If you are prompted for a username and password after clicking an app and you are unaware of your username and password for that app, the best option is to contact your teacher or Liberty’s technology department.

What is my Google Classroom or Teams Class Code?

Google Classroom classes are created and managed by the teacher. Please contact your teacher for the class code. If you are going to Classroom.google.com directly (outside of ClassLink) and it’s trying to log in to a different account, go to https://accounts.google.com to check other active accounts, log out of Google then login with your school Google account.

The ClassLink LaunchPad Extension on Safari is disabled. What do I do?

  • After you install the ClassLink LaunchPad Extension for the Safari browser, go into the Safari Preferences menu and click on Extensions.
  • Enable the extension by clicking on the checkbox to the left. See the screenshot below.

The district has learned that a Liberty District Office staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last on campus Aug. 13.

Individuals who may be at risk for exposure to COVID-19 have been notified. Contact tracers from Sullivan County Public Health Services also reach out to people at risk for contracting the coronavirus and advise them of what steps to take.

Our thoughts are with the individual who tested positive and we wish them a speedy recovery. Privacy laws restrict the disclosure of personally identifiable information.

The district has learned that a Liberty Middle School staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last on campus Aug. 9, 2021.

Individuals who may be at risk for exposure to COVID-19 have been notified by a building administrator or school nurse. Contact tracers from Sullivan County Public Health Services also reach out to people at risk for contracting the coronavirus and advise them of what steps to take.

Our thoughts are with the individual who tested positive and we wish them a speedy recovery. Privacy laws restrict the disclosure of personally identifiable information.

The staff member was last on campus July 29, 2021.   

Staff members who may be at risk for exposure to COVID-19 have been individually notified by a building administrator or school nurse. Contact tracers from Sullivan County Public Health Services also reach out to people at risk for contracting the coronavirus and advise them of what steps to take.
