Basic facts about the Building Project

The Liberty school community has passed the bond issue to support the renovations and improvements of our facilities. This is only the BEGINNING! Check back here for updated information os the project progresses.

Benefits

  1. Preservation of Liberty Elementary School
  2. Significant upgrades and replacements to systems at LES and LHS
    1. windows and doors
    2. heating and ventilation
    3. fire safety
    4. plumbing and electrical system
    5. security
    6. roofing
  3. Increase appropriate instructional space at LES
    1. Eight (8) new classrooms
    2. New cafeteria
    3. New library
    4. Renovation of existing classrooms to eliminate portables
    5. Site improvements to sidewalks, bus loop and athletic fields
  4. Renovation and addition at LHS
    1. Five (5) new science labs)
    2. New library/media center and main office
    3. Site improvements to ensure better parking

Cost

  1. Eligible for significant state aid
  2. Average of about 2.7% tax increase
  3. About $5 per month for the average household
