Practice Daily As Part Of Your Homework!
With all the busy schedules, it is sometime difficult to find a time to practice your instrument.  Consider practicing as part of your homework routine.  Try to set up a specific time each day that you practice just as you do when you do your homework.   If you are involved in numerous after school activities, consider getting up early in the morning and practicing before you go to school.  Some students come into school early and practice in the band room before school.  This way you are done with your practicing for the day and don't have to worry about it when you get home and are exhausted from the day's activities.  Another time you could practice is during study hall in school.  Ask for a pass to come to the band room during study hall and use the practice rooms that are available for you. Remember, GOOD DAILY PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS and the more you practice the better you will develop your skills on your instrument.
