Liberty Middle/High School: Grades 5-8
Liberty Middle School serves grades 5-8 at the Buckley Street campus and was built in 1992. In addition to a strong academic program with an emphasis on reading and math, LMS also offers a peer mentoring program, empowering students and allowing them to play an active role in their education. It’s guidance department has helped develop a mindfulness curriculum, working with all teachers and students. PBIS and Olweus round out our work with students on anti-bullying and positive behaviors. Extracurricular activities offered include modified sports for seventh and eighth graders, art club, chess club, math club, student council and yearbook. LMS also has a vibrant music department, offering band, chorus and orchestra to all students and is host to the Boys and Girls Club after-school program for grades 5-7. The goal of Liberty Middle School is to produce competent and confident students, ready to take on the challenges of high school.
