My love of art was fostered by my Elementary art teacher and I knew early on that I wanted to teach art just like she did. After Elementary school I continued to take art electives, attend art classes after school and create my own artwork. Later I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University College of Ceramics majoring in ceramics and Art Ed. My dream came to fruition when I was hired to teach art for the Liberty Central School District. I have been teaching in the Elementary School for the past 14 years. I consider myself extremely lucky to have a career that I love and my greatest hope os to inspire my young students just as my teacher had inspired me.</div> <div> Because art reaches out to include all students I elected to earn my Masters Degree in Special Education at Long Island University. My studies have allowed me to fine tune my teaching in order to reach out to every student that enters my classroom, and has served as an invaluable tool.</div> <div> Other work experiences include teaching summer school art for LCSD, and the Community Schools Program. I created the Liberty Bell magazine a student based art and literary publication. Coordinated various student art shows throughout the community as well as showcased student's artwork in local businesses for Youth Art Month and other special events. I've worked as an art teacher for Special College at Sullivan Community College and for Star Gallery in Middletown, NY. Professionally I have designed web pages for ABCO Security Company in Westchester, NY, a business logo for ASG Computer Consulting in Long Island, NY and a greeting card for the Art for Aids Association. I have particapated in a number of juried art shows, and most recently took part in the Sullivan County Teachers Art Show 2004 held at the Catskill Art Society, Hurleyville, NY.</div> <div> Origionally from Long Island, NY the move to Sullivan County was a bit of a transition but a welcome one. My husband, Brad, is from Callicoon, NY and is a Financial Planner with American Express. We have two wonderful boys Madden and Cameron and live in Middletown, NY. I have come to love life here in the Catskill Mountains and am proud to call it home.</div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
