Assignments
During lessons, students work on concepts that will help with their overall musicianship. They work on these through the lesson book, band music, and NYSSMA solos or ensembles. Each instrument works on exercises written specifically for the instrument they play. (Each book or set of books should take them through HS unless the student is advanced in which case there are other books that should be purchased.)
