Concepts in Trigonometry Curriculum
Upon successful completion of this full year course the students will earn one credit towards graduation.
It is designed for the students having successfully completed Mathematics A wishing to continue their mathematics education, preparing for college entrance examinations, and for careers.
The student will be able to:
Apply factoring to solve algebraic rational number problems.
Define and perform operations on real numbers.
Differentiate between relations and functions and their graphs.
Transform functions and geometric shapes.
Define and apply trigonometric functions to problem solving situations.
Graph trigonometric functions given a specific domain.
Solve and graph exponential functions.
Apply the law of sines, law of cosines, right triangle trigonometry, and area of a triangle formula to solve problems.
Solve first and second degree trigonometric equations.
Calculate the mean, mode, and median for grouped data.
Calculate the standard deviation of a set of values.
Apply normal distribution concepts in problem solving.
