Harborfields High School on the north shore of Long Island. My family and I moved to our house in Livingston Manor
and I have taught at Liberty for 27 years. During that time I have taught sicence classes in Life Science 7,
Physical Science 8, Earth Science, Biology, Environmental Science and Human Biology. In math I have taught

Outside of school I am Captain of the Livingston Manor Volunteer Ambulance Corps and have been for 13 years.
I am a 20 year Emergency Medical Technician. My wife is also an EMT. All three of my children voulnteer for the
Corps. I am very proud of them for giving their time to help others. I am actively involved as an elder at the
LM Presbyterian Church. I coach cross country and girls track at Liberty High School and time most of the
winter sports contests.
I have completed the Catskill 35's. There are 35 mountain peaks in the Catskills which are 3500 feet or
more in elevation. Some have trails and some do not. Most of the peaks without trails require a bushwhack. This
means a hiker must make their own trail! Some are easy and some are very difficult. I also hiked the four
winter peaks and completed the requirements for the club patch on January 28, 2006. I have hiked a lot this
summer setting new goals for myself. This summer I hiked over 350 miles and climbed 115,000 feet vertically. That's
21 miles up!
