If you follow Liberty Central School District on
chances are you've seen the hashtag #LibertyPride.
Part of a district-wide social media campaign, this hashtag was created to showcase the teaching and learning taking place across the district and to recognize those individuals, programs and activities that help our students to reach their fullest potential.
Parents and students alike tell us great stories about their experiences at Liberty and we want to share those messages with the community, the region and the state. We hope that students and parents really get involved and lead the conversation.
Anyone with a Facebook account can participate in the campaign by uploading and sharing photos using the hashtag #LibertyPride.
Not sure what to share? It can be anything that makes you proud to be a member of the Liberty Central School District community. Does your child’s bus driver go the extra mile for your child? Share that on social media and include #LibertyPride. Is there someone – a teacher, coach or secretary – who brings out the best in your child or helps them when they are challenged? Share it! Did you or your child score a goal/touchdown, reach a milestone, overcome the odds? Let us know using #LibertyPride!
We have a lot to be proud of throughout our district. We want to make sure our community members are aware of the positive things taking place in our district each day. Who better to share that information than our students and their parents?
Hashtags are created when the pound symbol (#) is inserted before words or phrases relevant to a post on social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. They are used to categorize posts or Tweets, drive conversation and advocate for support of various topics.
