Parents and guardians of incoming fifth-grade or new students are invited to attend an orientation session and barbecue lunch on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the Liberty Middle School from 11 a.m-2 p.m.
During orientation, students and parents can get course schedules, locker combinations and building tours. Tours will be given by eighth grade student volunteers, who are happy to share insights and ask questions about life at Liberty Middle School. Parents will also be given the chance to talk with school guidance counselors and administrators.

One of the district’s key goals this year is to create a friendly, welcoming environment for all its families. We hope that programs, like our orientations, family fun nights and open houses will be a great first step in building a strong home-to-school partnership.
The school understands how challenging and emotional the transition from elementary to middle school can be for both students and parents. To that end, the school aims to make this time one of transparency, invitation, and thorough communication. Parents, please RSVP to the middle school main office by Monday, Aug. 15. We hope that you are able to attend!
