LFA Meet the Candidates Night will take place May 2

All Liberty Central School District teachers, staff, board of education and community members are invited to attend the Liberty Faculty Association (LFA) Meet the Board of Education Candidates Night on Monday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Liberty High School cafeteria.

On Tuesday, May 17, residents will elect three board of education members for the seats currently held by Andrew Kavleski, John Nichols and Philip Olsen.

The candidates running are:
• Andrew Kavleski
• Rachel A. Reeves-Graves
• Dr. Philip Olsen
• Matthew DeWitt
• Anthony Covington
• Timothy P. Burke, Esq.
• Cindy Prince
• John L. Nichols

The LFA will be serving coffee, tea and cake during Meet the Candidates Night and will pose a series of questions for candidates to answers.

Following the series, attendees will be able to speak with candidates individually.

What: Voter registration deadline - Click here to find out if you’re registered to vote.
When: Thursday, May 12 at 4 p.m.
Where: Residents can register from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., M-F at the Liberty Central School District Office (115 Buckley St.) or at the County Board of Elections.

What: 2016-17 Budget Public Hearing
When: Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m.
Where: David E. Panebaker Auditorium in the Liberty High School

What: 2016-17 Annual District Budget Vote
When: Tuesday, May 17 from noon to 9 p.m.
Where: The vote will take place at Liberty High School gymnasium, which is located at 125 Buckley St., Liberty.
