During the 2013-14 school year, Liberty Central School
District’s Snack Pack program provided nutritious, easy-to-prepare
food to 50 children weekly as a way to make nutritious food
available to students outside of the school week when food
resources may not be readily available to them.
The program is continuing for the 2014-15 school year and is currently accepting enrollments.
How it works:
• Children who may benefit from the program are identified by parents, school nurses, teachers or counselors to receive a pack each week.
• Every Friday, a pack of food is prepared for children in the program to pick up before they go home for the weekend. The food provided is nutritious, shelf-stable and child friendly.
• Elementary school packs will be available for pick-up at the front desk. Middle and high school packs will be available for pick-up in the Student Service Office.
Parents who would like to enroll their child in the Snack Pack program can do so by contacting Student Services at (845) 292-5400.
