This Friday and Saturday, December 16th and 17th, Liberty Performing Arts presents “Death of a Doornail,” an original script written by Lee Mueller. The play is a murder mystery with a twist – and the audience is encouraged to participate!

The evening will start with appetizers and refreshments in the cafeteria while guests mingle with the actors in the play.

According to play-dead.com, the play centers around Albert Doornale, an eccentric millionaire who has invited all of his close friends to his estate; including his ex-wife Abigail, his current fiancé Candy Bombay, and his childhood friend from the lower East Side, Salvatore Carbone. The only problem is, Albert is not there and no one has seen him. Not his nerdy Nephew or his spoiled daughter. None of the guests has any idea why they are there or what happened to their host. That is until blood is found in the upstairs bathroom. Was Albert killed and carried away? In the nick of time, Inspector Bukowski arrives on the scene. A murder investigation will begin, as soon as a body is found. It may be a long wait.

Student performers include Amanda Bertholf as Inspector Bukowski, Nikole Snyder as Priscilla, Nick Doolittle as Albert Doornale, Matt Rourke as Mortimer, DeAna Almeyda as Mrs. Morganford, Michael Hinton as the Narrator, Cherie Grisafe as Candace Bombay, Drew Maier as Sal Carbone, Josh Lieberman as Edward, Zach Maniatis as Audience Guy, David Wald as Audience Guy’s Wife, Jessica Watson as Mrs. Doornale, Seleina Dingevan as Audience friend #1, Alisa Almeyda as Police Officer and Audience friend #2 and Josh Doolittle as Audience Guy #2.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Curtains open at 7 p.m. for both shows at the David E. Panebaker Auditorium at Liberty Central High School.
