This week, communities across the state are honoring the dedicated service of local boards of education during School Board Recognition Week.

Their tasks are substantial: board of education members work together to establish a vision for the education program, design a structure to achieve that vision, assure schools are accountable to the community and strongly advocate continuous improvement in student learning.

Board members contribute hundreds of hours each year leading their districts. Whether crafting policies, listening to staff and student concerns, or recognizing outstanding programs, board members always keep their eyes on the prize of student achievement.

If you see a Liberty Board of Ed member, be sure to say "Thank you" for their dedication and commitment to our community!
