Booster Club Sponsors Concussion Program

On Monday, November 7th, the Liberty Indians Booster Club will host a concussion awareness program at 7:30 p.m. in the David E. Panebaker Auditorium at the Liberty Middle/High School.

The program is open to the public, and to anyone in Sullivan County who would like to know more about the prevention, diagnosis, and management of concussions in school age athletes are welcome to attend.

The guest speaker, Dr. Nicholas Belasco, is a Family and Sports Medicine physician at the Bon Secours Medical Group.

Dr. Belasco will present a short program and then answer questions from the audience. Refreshments will be provided in the cafeteria after the presentation. Please share this information with anyone who might benefit from this program.

Dr. Nicholas Belasco is the creator and director of the Concussion Management Program for the Bon Secours Medical Group. The goal of the program is to provide an all-inclusive service to schools who would like to make sure they comply with the rapidly developing state and federal guidelines on concussions as well as provide the best possible care to their athletes. He completed his Fellowship in Sports Medicine in 2010 with the Atlantic Healthcare System which is the home of the New York Jets.
