The Liberty Middle School 5th and 6th Grade Band will present a
special clinic/performance for parents, teachers, administrators,
and friends on Thursday evening, November 3rd. Advanced reservations
are required for this one-night performance.
This 60-minute presentation will take place in the Liberty Middle
School Gymnasium beginning at 7 p.m. and will introduce the audience
to many academic demands of playing a musical instrument.
A special feature of this presentation is that the audience will be
seated around the band members. Those attending will experience the
involvement and intensity of musical performance created by the
student musicians. Playing an instrument requires a complex
combination of intellectual, visual, physical, and auditory control
coupled with high-level thinking and problem solving skills.
This ‘behind the scenes’ view of what happens in learning the
‘Language of Music’ can give an insight and perspective that can not
be achieved any other way.
