Grant Harman helps assemble boxes of donated food for the 2009 LHS Food Drive.
November is traditionally a month to give
thanks, and at
Liberty High School, it is also a time to give back.
Students are currently accepting and collecting donations
for the annual LHS Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Now in its fifth year under its current management (after
more than twenty years as an annual event) the food drive
collects Thanksgiving-related food to create an entire
feast for families in need within the Liberty School
District. The homeroom/first period class that collects
the most will win a breakfast feast, generously donated by
the LFA, LAMA and LSEA.
The deadline for food donations is Monday, November 22. Food
donations can be made via a Liberty High School student (to
go toward their contest) or made directly to the high
school office during school hours. Did you get a free
turkey from Shoprite and don’t need it? Donate it!
