LCS Music Department Presents Annual Spring Concerts

The Liberty Central School Music Department will present their annual Spring Concerts in May and June. Close to 500 students will be expressing the language of music at these very special performances according to LCS Director of Music, Gary Siegel.

The High School Concert Part 1 will take place on Tuesday, May 10th with the program including performances by the Honors Orchestra, Honors Chorus, and Honors Band.

The High School Concert Part 2 will take place on Tuesday, May 17th with the program including performances by the Orchestra, Mixed Chorus, Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble.

Preceding this concertgoers may want to attend the Liberty Faculty Association’s Annual Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner held in the High School Cafeteria from 5-7 p.m.

The Middle School Concerts will take place on Wednesday, May 18th (Part 1) and May 25th (Part 2). The May 18th concert will feature the 7th and 8th grade Orchestra, Chorus Band and MS Jazz Ensemble and the May 25th concert will feature the MS Woodwind Ensemble, 5th & 6th grade Orchestra, 5th & 6th Grade Chorus, and 5th & 6th Grade Band. A variety of music will be performed.

The groups will be performing under the direction of Scott Glasser, Emily Ford, Dan McConnell, Tim Hamblin, and Gary Siegel. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. for all concerts and will take place in the David E. Panebaker Auditorium at Liberty High School.

The concerts are presented as a public service to the community and are FREE!

In addition the Elementary School Spring Concert will take place on Thursday, June 2nd at 7 p.m. and will feature the 4th Grade Band directed by Peter Kincaid and the 4th Grade string students directed by Scott Glasser. This performance is also free and open to the public.
