On Tuesday, April 5th, parents and students will learn how to "Bully-proof" Liberty Elementary School.

Sponsored by the Liberty P.T.A., the program will feature Jim Vagias, an educational entertainment specialist and speaker, who will conduct an assembly for K-4 students on Tuesday morning, and then a workshop for parents on Tuesday evening.

The evening event will begin at 6 p.m. with a pizza dinner in the elementary school cafeteria. At 6:30 p.m., parents will participate in the anti-bulling workshop led by Mr. Vagias. Students who accompany their parents will create anti-bullying posters in the cafeteria (supervision provided).

The program is only open to the first 200 adults who respond and will feature discussions on the various types of bullying; possible causes; common misconceptions; effects of bullying on victims, bullies and bystander; identifying signs of bullying and preventive steps parents can take to take to guard against their child being bullied.

The event will wrap up at 7:15 p.m. with a prize raffle. For more information on this event, please contact Lynne Diener at 845-292-5400m ext. 2034, or visit www.educationalproductions.com.
