Parents and guardians of Liberty sixth-graders are invited to attend the Sixth-Grade Parent Night on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Liberty Middle School Cafeteria. The event is held for parents of students who will be in the seventh-grade in the 2011-12 school year.
Parents will have an opportunity to discuss what is expected of students in seventh-grade, what courses are available and opportunities for extra-curricular activities and sports. They will also have an opportunity to meet the administration and meet teachers. Refreshments will be served.
"The event gives parents the opportunity to think ahead and begin planning for the academic success of their children - so that there are no surprises," explains Liberty Middle School Principal Mary Greynolds. "They also have a chance to meet the coaches, who speak about balancing sports and academic achievement."
