Last week, the
Times Herald Record reported that "The cold and blustery
winter is wreaking havoc on the blood banks, causing a blood
shortage and forcing them to import blood from other parts of
the area to maintain an ample supply."
Each day, the New York Blood Center needs close to 2,000 people
a day to roll up their sleeves to give the gift of life.
There is simply no substitute for voluntarily donated blood.
Without volunteer donors, our community would not have an
adequate community blood supply.
Please donate blood to our local blood banks this Friday,
February 25th from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the High School Band
Room. All are welcome to donate.
