The Facilities Department at Liberty Central School District is responsible for the management and maintenance of district buildings and all fields and building grounds.

The Facilities Department strives to:
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and the community
    • Enhance and improve district facilities
    • Utilize a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to address daily    
       building and grounds maintenance and long term facility issues
    • Support repairs on electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems district-wide
    • Troubleshoot and repair issues received through daily work orders submitted
       by district personnel
    • Schedule and support all after school activities, meetings and building usage
       of district facilities and fields
    • Follow district energy policies and guidelines
    • Streamline productivity and ensure cost-effectiveness

District conducting water quality tests in schools

In Sept. 2016, a state law went into effect that requires districts to test water for lead. The law requires districts to sample all water outlets currently or potentially used by students and submit them to a state approved lab.

District receives initial results of water quality testing

The following letter was mailed home on Sept. 30 to inform all parents about recent water quality testing completed in the elementary and middle schools in the Liberty Central School District.  Read more

School building water test results available online

School districts are required to report the results of all water testing to the state Department of Health, the state Education Department and the local health department, and to post the results on the district website.
